Policies and Cancellation Procedures

Welcome to the Miyoshi Trumpet Studio. I strive to create
a positive environment where students enjoy working to become
better young musicians and trumpeters. My teaching style is
to encourage kids to become their best while enjoying playing
the trumpet. While I enjoy working with students who try and
practice hard, I understand when there are times that one can
not practice all the assignments for the week. I want the student
to enjoy playing the trumpet in an encouraging and non-competitive
environment while striving to achieve their personal best.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel a lesson, emergencies withstanding, I require
notice at least 24 hours before the allotted lesson time. If a same
day cancellation is necessary you will be charged the full amount for
the lesson.

Payment and Fees

Please e-mail or call me to discuss lesson fees and available times.
Students are welcome and encouraged to take their lessons at my studio
in Berkeley. I am also willing to come to you, however an additional
$5 fee will be charged on top of lesson fees for traveling to sessions
outside of the city of Berkeley/Albany. Payment in cash is preferred,
however I do accept checks. Checks can be made payable to Owen Miyoshi.
Payment is monthly and due by the 5th of the month. If paying monthly
is not possible certain exceptions can be made.

Students with excessive overdue lesson fees with be denied instruction until
all payments are current.
